Apod 2.3
This is Orion, a constellation, in gas, dust, and stars which is 1,500 light years away!!! As you can see, there is a cluster of many celestial objects. That ranges too nebulae, stars, star clusters, which are all embedded into a large patch of gaseous wisps. Of course, the three bright stars on the left are Orion's belt, which is also called the flame nebula This flame nebula is composed of exited hydrogen gas, with patches of dark brown dust. Not only is there a flame nebula but also the Orion nebula , M42 ,giving off a crimson color with a variety of gasses. Not on of my most prominant apod's, but i found a liking to his beautiful blue and red nebula. ( noting Veteran's day )
